My Writing
I have published articles and short essays on various topics. My first book, Stella's Quilt, published in 2023, I describe as "a memoir and a celebration". My second book, The Tonto Two-Step - a cozy mystery set in the Arizona desert - went live on October 4th, 2024. I launched A Murder at Rancho Manana, the second in the Saguaro mystery series, in November of 2025. I hope to complete Second to Die by early fall, 2026.
My Speaking
As the author of two cozy mysteries, with a third in progress, I love speaking to book clubs and other groups about the pleasure of mystery writing, my own writing process, and what I've learned about taking a completed manuscript to publication.
My first book is a memoir, and I eagerly engage with those who want to write or tell their stories. My book talk for that audience is titled "Is There a Memoir in Your Future"?
Finally, as a retired financial planner who holds a certificate in ministry. I often present on the topics of faith and money.
