I describe it as "a memoir and a celebration". But it is more accurately described as a hybrid memoir, written about my life and the lives of others important to Stella.
I want my grandchildren (Stella now has a little brother, Leo) to know our stories, and we won’t always be here to tell them.
In writing about my own life, I make myself vulnerable, sharing turning points and outcomes that formed the person I have become. In writing about others, I respect their boundaries around how much to share.
Yes. The Tonto Two-Step went live in October, 2024 and I launched A Murder at Rancho Manana, in November, 2025. I've begun work on Second to Die, the third in the series, and hope to publish it in the fall of 2026. I could write these books faster if I didn't enjoy golf, bridge, and grandchildren so much!
