I describe it as "a memoir and a celebration". But it is more accurately described as a hybrid memoir, written about my life and the lives of others important to Stella.
I want my grandchildren (Stella now has a little brother, Leo) to know our stories, and we won’t always be here to tell them.
In writing about my own life, I make myself vulnerable, sharing turning points and outcomes that formed the person I have become. In writing about others, I respect their boundaries around how much to share.
My current project is Second to Die, coming in the fall of 2026. It is the third in the Saguaro mystery series. The Tonto Two-Step was published in October, 2024, and the next in the series, A Murder at Rancho Manana, was published in November, 2025. I could write these books faster if I didn't enjoy golf, bridge, and grandchildren so much!
